Jesus loves you / everyone else thinks youre a cunt
A Jesus post.
Your manager says "no stress, it's all fine" about the deadline that moved to tomorrow. Nothing is fine. Everything is on fire. But the tone was so warm that you thank him on your way out. The friend who has never once been on time texts "see you in ten!" You know that means forty minutes. You also know that when he arrives, he'll be delighted to see you. Someone at the gym tells you "you've got this" while you're pinned under a bar you should never have loaded. It's very supportive. It is not the help you needed. The shop assistant looks at the bill, then at you, and says "great choice!" about the thing you picked up by mistake. You are now buying it. **Why it caught on:** the picture shows the "Buddy Christ" statue from Kevin Smith's 1999 film *Dogma*, a winking, thumbs-up Jesus that a fictional church unveils to make religion friendlier and easier to sell. Online it became the all-purpose figure for cheerful approval and false reassurance, and for a while its captions were pulled into arguments about religion and politics, which is why so many of them are rows.
