Why it caught on: the picture shows Admiral Ackbar, the Mon Calamari commander of the Rebel fleet in *Return of the Jedi* (1983), who shouts the line when the Imperial fleet springs its ambush at the Battle of Endor. It spread as a reaction image for any offer, plan or invitation that looks too good, and it stuck because the warning is short, loud and almost always right.
