So You're telling me you went to see a batman movie that had very little batman in it / And he spent half the movie trapped down a well?
A So You're Telling me meme.
So You're Telling Me uses Jim Carrey as Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber (1994). When told his chances with the girl are one in a million, Lloyd lights up: "So you're telling me there's a chance!" Captions start with the bad odds and end with unshakable optimism. It's the meme for blind hope and hearing only what you want to hear.
