i was once an explorer similar to ONESELF / yet anon i sustained an acicular projectile to my popliteal fossa
A Joseph Ducreux meme.
Archaic Rap uses a self-portrait of Joseph Ducreux, an 18th-century French painter, pointing at the viewer with a knowing smirk. The meme rewrites modern rap lyrics in elaborate, old-fashioned language: "Disregard females, acquire currency" for "forget girls, get money." Matching the original line to its fancy version is the whole game.
