A Rent Is Too Damn High meme.
The Rent Is Too Damn High is Jimmy McMillan, a New York gubernatorial candidate of 2010 whose party had a single cause: high rent. His black gloves, mustache and fiery debate performance went viral. Captions repeat his line or apply it to any expense that's out of control. It's the meme for frustration with costs that keep rising.
