Office Space Boss meme: if you could stop locking people in cages over a plant / That would be great

A Office Space Boss post.

Someone asks if you've seen the email. You have seen the email. You have also seen the follow-up, the reminder and the "bumping this" bump, and you are still not going to open it before Monday. The Friday 4:55 pm request arrives, phrased as a favour. "If you could just have a quick look over the weekend, that'd be great." Nobody has ever had a quick look at anything. It's a whole afternoon with a nice name. The shared fridge is a crime scene again. Somebody has left a lidless tuna sandwich next to the milk, and now the note on the door is written in the passive voice, because nobody wants to be the one who says it. A colleague hands you a "small tweak" to a finished project, deadline unchanged. It comes wrapped in a smile, a polite tone and no apology whatsoever, which is somehow the worst part. **Why it caught on:** the picture is Bill Lumbergh, the passive-aggressive manager played by Gary Cole in the 1999 comedy *Office Space*, in a pale blue shirt, braces and a patterned tie, holding a coffee mug. His catchphrase, "Yeah, if you could just... that'd be great", turned a polite request nobody can refuse into a template, and people filled it with anything from small irritations to ridiculous demands.
