I have seen video-game companies advertise to girls by overly promoting female gamers or the fact that females never lose to males in any form of media on the television, or when they have "we need more girls in gaming" events and understand that they do this because they want more profit. / Yet when people promote the above they will say that ignoring half of the human population is bad marketing thus over-cater to females, yet with advertisements like yoghurt ads they not only completely ignore the male audience, they portray men as either dumb bumbling background characters or as sexual objects for female desires.

At the barbecue everyone is talking about bacon as if it's a religion. You say you think it's fine. Just fine. The music stops. Somebody's dad puts down his tongs. The whole office watches the same series and discusses it every morning by the kettle. You say episode two was boring and you gave up. You now make your tea alone. At book club you announce that the film was better than the book. Two members leave. One of them was hosting. In the family group chat you suggest pizza for Christmas dinner this year. Your mum leaves the group. Your gran adds her back, reads the message, and leaves as well. **Why it caught on:** a puffin mid-stride on the grass, one foot up, as if it's walking in to make an announcement. Everyone has one opinion they keep quiet, and a small, brave bird makes it easier to say out loud.
