Bow before me and pray / Puny humans
A praise the lord cat post.
Your cat hears the tin opener from two rooms away. It is not a sound, it is a calling. You open the tin to a small, devout silence from the hallway. The radiator finally clicks on after three weeks of "it's fine, put a jumper on". You stand in front of it with your arms out like you're receiving something. You are. The group chat goes quiet at 9:58. Your results are out at 10:00. Then, at 10:01, a single message appears: "passed". You sit down on the stairs. Friday, 4:59 pm. The email that would have ruined your weekend lands in someone else's inbox. You close the laptop slowly, as if the building might notice. **Why it caught on:** the picture shows a white cat standing upright on a wooden floor with both front paws stretched high, as if giving thanks. People captioned it for any moment of overwhelming relief or gratitude, usually with "praise" or "thank god" in capitals, and for the opposite too, a cry for help from the same pose. The pose reads as worship, rescue and surrender at once, so it fits almost any situation.
