The self checkout announcing "unexpected item in bagging area" when the unexpected item is your own bag, which you have brought, as instructed, to save the planet. **Why it caught on:** Peter Griffin's recurring Family Guy news segment "What really grinds my gears" gave a man who has never been right about anything a desk to rant from, and everybody has a list of petty annoyances that deserves one.
