Your friend announces he's quitting the group project to do it all himself, properly, with none of the rest of you. Three days later he asks if anyone has the login. You get a new notebook and decide this is the year you start a bullet journal, with a colour-coded key and a habit tracker. By the second week it's a shopping list and one very sad doodle of a cactus. A mate says the pub quiz is rubbish and he'll run his own, with a proper scoreboard. Two weeks on there is a group chat, a laminated sign, and exactly four people, one of whom is his mum. Someone in the office is told their idea isn't getting budget, so they storm off to start their own company. It has a logo by Thursday. By Friday it has a Canva subscription and a slightly smaller ambition. **Why it caught on:** the picture is Bender, the foul-mouthed robot from Futurama, in a white fur coat, with a green-skinned alien looking on behind him. It comes from his line about starting his own theme park, with blackjack and hookers, and the rant ends with him dropping the whole park idea. People swapped in their own projects, birthdays and websites, and the "in fact, forget the…" ending made it a joke about grand plans that get abandoned in the same breath.
