You were born in the rain, moulded by it, and your coat has never once been fully dry. **Why it caught on:** Tom Hardy's masked Bane in The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Christopher Nolan's last Batman film, handed out "you merely adopted the dark" and "you have my permission to die" ready to use. A menacing voice works best on harmless instructions.
