Give gio the ball
A Keep Calm 2 post.
Your mate announces a plan for the weekend, and it's a bad one. You say nothing, nod, and reach for your drink. Three hours later, the plan is still happening and you are somehow in charge of it. The group chat is on fire over who forgot to book the table. Forty messages, six voice notes, one thumbs-up from the person who actually forgot. You type something furious, delete it, and send "no worries". Results day, and the page won't load. Your mum is hovering behind you. Your dad is "not looking" from the doorway, looking. You refresh it again. It loads. You do not breathe. The email says "per my last message" and you have read it four times with your jaw tightening. You open a reply. You type the first word. You hold your hands over the keyboard like a pianist, then go and make tea. **Why it caught on:** the poster is the British "Keep Calm and Carry On" design, made by the government in 1939 on the eve of the Second World War and never put on public display, then rediscovered in a bookshop in the 2000s and reprinted everywhere. Its plain white lettering and crown on red made it easy to copy, so people swapped the last line for their own, from a sensible reply to a rude one, and it spread across mugs, tea towels and generators alike.
