Trollface meme: New Text Books? / fresh CAnvas for dicks and profanity

A Trollface post.

The wide, mischievous grin drawn in MS Paint by Carlos Ramirez in 2008 for a comic on DeviantArt about trolls. It spread through rage comics and became the face of trolling - provoking people for laughs. It is the internet's most smug expression. It doesn't tell the joke, it waits for you to fall for it, then appears in the last panel asking "problem?" Captions describe small, harmless deceptions and the satisfaction that follows. "Tell everyone the meeting moved" / "it didn't." "Leave one cookie in the box" / "put it back in the cupboard." "Set friend's autocorrect" / "'yes' now means 'no'." The caption ends, the face takes over. Ramirez later registered the copyright and earned money licensing it, making him one of the few people who got paid for trolling. Fair, since he drew the face millions of people have used to annoy their friends. **Why it caught on:** one face said "gotcha" better than any word could, in any language.
